The Kenya Roll Ball Federation (KRBF) Annual Activity Report for 2024–2025 highlights the federation’s continued efforts in developing and promoting roll ball across Kenya through competitions, training, inclusion programs, and digital engagement. Throughout 2024, KRBF demonstrated strong growth and collaboration, focusing on grassroots development, elite competition, and capacity building. Major events included the National Roll Ball League for men, women, boys, and girls, which attracted over 45 teams and 3,500 players from 35 counties, marking a 25% increase in participation from the previous year. Spectator attendance exceeded 7,000 across various events. The federation prioritized capacity building by organizing three coaching clinics, two referee training seminars, and governance workshops for officials. In its commitment to inclusivity, KRBF implemented youth and women empowerment programs, including an Under-17 Development Program reaching 10 counties, the introduction of roll ball in 16 new schools, and ensuring 30% female participation in newly trained officials. Additionally, inclusion initiatives targeted marginalized communities through community outreach and specialized training sessions in multiple counties. Digitally, KRBF enhanced its media presence with 11 live-streamed events garnering over 15,000 views, a 45% growth in social media followers, and a revamped website providing easier access to results and updates. Governance and compliance remained a key focus, with a successful Annual General Meeting, a constitution review aligning with national and international standards, and the development of key policy frameworks on anti-doping, safeguarding, and gender equality. Financially, KRBF maintained transparency with a KES 600,000 budget, primarily funded through registration and participation fees (95%), and allocated most of its resources to competitions, training, and equipment. In conclusion, the year 2024 showcased significant progress and resilience for KRBF. Through inclusive programs, strategic development, and strong governance, the federation has strengthened the sport’s foundation and aims to elevate roll ball to higher levels of recognition and success both nationally and internationally.
